Here are some of the businesses we’ve proudly supported with tailored financing solutions.

High Sierra Lanes

The borrowers purchased the bowling center from an estate sale. The facility was decades old and in poor condition and had been closed for several years. Upon acquisition the borrower, acting as a general contractor was able to get contractors/subcontractors to make improvements to the facility over the span of six months, which is when I was contacted by the borrowers. By now, the facility was open and looked great, however the borrower was barely breaking even. Borrower had been in operation in the area with a much smaller facility, he sold that to make this purchase. Borrower explained that he expected the facility to generate significant positive cash flow from the 3rd quarter through the 1st quarter of the following year, as we moved toward the end of that first year, the bowling center began to hit the borrower's projections. The SBA loan was to consolidate over a dozen short term loans from contractors/subcontractors, pay off seller debt and provide additional equipment financing. The business quickly became a success and I assisted the borrower with several more conventional refinancing to update equipment and take advantage of lower interest rates.

Nevada blue

Assisted a longtime printing and blue print company acquire a flex space building in Reno. Years later when the economy slowed due to the great recession, this business had acquired significant short term debt to whether the storm of a slowed construction business in Norther NV, I was able to find a lender who could provide a debt consolidation loan and refi of their existing building that saved the borrower over $12k per month.

Growing Together

Company is company in the east SF Bay Area. Their owner is a certified arborist and the company provides tree removal and trimming. By Bay Area standards this was a small ($1.2 million), but straight forward loan request. This was a lease option purchase. Was referred to the borrower as he was unhappy with the responsiveness of a credit union he banked with. I was familiar with the credit union and when it came to commercial loan requests they simply lacked focus and staffing. The borrower appreciated my personal touch and coming down to his office to go over the process.

Taco Johns

Franchised hotel in rural Nevada...hotel needed to quickly complete a regular multi year PIP/property improvement plan to remain in compliance with the franchise. Borrower had contacted a few lenders, but nobody was going out to meet the borrower and get a sense of his project. I knew once we had a brief phone conversation, this was likely to be a solid deal and I had already financed the property for a previous owner, so I knew the property had a great location and curb appeal and I scheduled a visit. Put a loan package together and found a lender that could do the transaction through the USDA B&I program. The project was completed and 3 years later, with the property registering increasing revenues, the borrower was able to sell his property for more than twice his acquisition value.

Ruby Mountains Heli-Experience

The owners of Ruby Mountain Heli Ski, located in Lamoille, Nevada, about 20 miles southeast of Elko. They had been in business for 40 years, had acquired land for to build a lodge (had been leasing a lodge for over 10 years), but they banked with a big bank that was not accustomed to rural expansion projects, but that bank knew me, briefed me on the situation, I called the borrower, came out and met the borrower, skied with them and interviewed their guests. Put a loan package together, found that the SBA lender reception was tepid and found a credit union that delivered a well structured USDA construction to perm loan to build the lodge. The business now generates positive cash flow all year (offering a venue for bed & breakfast, corporate retreats, weddings, etc.) versus the 2.5 months they leased the former lodge.
